Mrs Lovey Howell, the millionaire on the island was played by actress Natalie Schafer. Schafer was actually a real-life millionaire who lived a lavish lifestyle before the show. She was married to Louis Calhern at the time with the two of them having huge investments in real estate in Beverly Hills. She reportedly only accepted the part so she could get a trip to Hawaii!
