Where do you plan on being in 2024? Because Elon Musk is going to Mars, despite the fact that it may end up fatal.
The CEO of SpaceX has explained how he plans to be inhabiting the red planet. In an HBO interview, he spoke about going there regardless of the $200,000 price and the chance he may die up there. He said “It’s gonna be hard. There’s a good chance of death.”
Musk’s company is currently being reviewed by Nasa due to the CEOs behaviour in recent times. This includes smoking weed during a recording of a podcast. SpaceX is one of the main contractors, set to send astronauts into space as early as 2019.
If you could, would you live on Mars?
Honestly, it seems a world away that humans will be able to inhabit another planet. However, judging from Nasa’s twitter, they seem very confident about the technology they want to place on the moon. Also, they are putting work into the ability to go to Mars.
Elon also said that: “We think you can come back but we’re not sure.” Which seems like something they should be sure about before sending people up there. Although, if you’re paying $200,000, you don’t want to be wasting it just coming back to Earth. Furthermore, supplies will have to be sent. Musk says his rocket, ‘Starship’, would take its first trip to the red planet in 2022, carrying only cargo, followed by a manned mission in 2024.
