Megan Rapinoe just left France with another World Cup trophy–soldifying the United States back-to-back wins in the world renouned FIFA event. Not only that, but she managed to snag the Golden Boot–the award for the highest scorer in the tournament–as well as recieving the Golden Ball, awarded to the overall best player in the tournament.
But now the athlete has one more thing to gloat about–political appeal.
Rapinoe is famously not shy about speaking up for her disapproval of Donald Trump and now she may be able to throw shade at him in his world. In a recent poll conducted by Public Policy Polling, Rapinoe polled at 42% compared to Trump’s 41%. With too many variables in play to truly answer why this poll provided with the humorous results, the fact remains that Rapinoe continues to win in her off-season while Trump can’t even win a fight on his favorite playground–Twitter.
