This is the perfect show if you want to see more of Brett Goldstein! The Emmy Award winning show is a comedy about an American football coach, Ted Lasso (Jason Sudekis), who moves to England to coach a soccer team. In the show, Goldstein plays the iconic Roy Kent, a character vastly different from Office Romance‘s Daniel. While his character is not necessarily a romantic lead, his character is a part of the shows main romantic love story; Roy and Keeley. Roy is a grumpy soccer player and Keeley is the perky ex-girlfriend of his rival teammate.

Over the 3 season course of this show, we watch their relationship blossom in a way that is sweet and grounded and maybe a little different then what we see from most television couples. Not only is Goldstein one of the lead actors in both projects, but he was also a writer for Ted Lasso and co-wrote the script for Office Romance! If you are worried about getting attached to a show that is only 3 seasons, fear not! The fourth season of Ted Lasso will be released in August!

5. Marry Me

Jennifer Lopez has a lot of experience in the romantic comedy world. While she has starred in many iconic roles for classic romcoms, fans of Office Romance will appreciate one of her more recent romantic comedies: Marry Me. This movie is about a pop-star, Kat (Lopez), and a single-dad, Charlie (Owen Wilson), who enter an abrupt marriage of convenience.

Like many romantic comedy characters before them, these are two people who have struggled with love and been hurt before. However, just like Jackie and Daniel, Kat and Charlie find someone who makes them want to try again. This might not feature the workplace-romance trope, but it does feature some other favorite tropes such as Charlies sweet, protectiveness of Kat and Kats revenge on her ex, another beloved trope. Her performance as Jackie is one Lopez’ best, showing us the full extent of her talent and under-rated comedic skills. Everything she brings to the role of Jackie, she also brings to the role of Kat.
