Think All Your Friends Are “Cultured”? Think Again

You’ve been caught!

According to a recent study, millions of people across Britain are lying to their friends so they come across more cultured.

The study has revealed that millions of British people are lying about the movies they watch, the foods they eat and even the places they’ve visited, to their friends so that they appear cultured.

It’s fair to say that some of these statistics are unbelievable, with one in five people lying about their political beliefs. In addition, 17% of people give the impression that they listen to ‘cool’ music (whatever that is), and another 17% of people are telling porkies about their knowledge of famous pieces of literature.

When it comes to movies, four in ten people are claiming that they have seen famous films, when in actual fact they haven’t. Some of these famous movies include The Godfather, Pulp Fiction and Donnie Darko. I think the fascinating thing about that lie is that there are people out there that haven’t seen The Godfather?!

29% of people are saying that they are ‘foodies’ and that they tuck into Sushi, Oysters and Granola. In reality, they are probably sitting down to a pizza or burger…

So, the secrets out, you’ll have to actually start eating Granola while watching The Graduate in Iceland!

Have you ever lied about eating this chilli?
