A popular YouTuber and explorer has found a number of abandoned hotels in Europe that appear to be largely intact. Shiey, who has over 1.5 million subscribers, uploaded a video to his channel earlier this week showing viewers around the hotels, and it’s pretty cool.
After scouring the grounds of the first hotel for an entry point, the explorer eventually found an open window that he was able to climb through.
Once in, it appeared that the rooms themselves were almost as good as new, suggesting that very few other people had discovered the abandoned building. The men speculated that as the hotel was in a nicer area, it had not been used as a shelter for any homeless people since being abandoned.
After finding a room equipped with tanning beds, Shiey dared his friend to lie down in one and close it. It was pretty cool, but gave us major Final Destination 3 vibes.
Once reaching the second floor of the hotel, they were shocked to find that it was still supplied with power and that the microwave oven in one of the rooms appeared to be still functioning.
They then speculated over why the hotel was abandoned, suggesting that the huge amount of hotels in the area led to too much competition.
They were shocked also by how well preserved the interior of the hotels were in comparison to other ones that they had seen, despite it being empty for so many decades. Many of the rooms had been left with bedding still on and plates out on the tables.
The explorer has taken on many more adventures and captured it all on his channel. Not long ago, he explored an abandoned Soviet nuclear bunker. The bunker itself was still functioning, and there were a number of abandoned cars. There was even a seemingly intact fire truck. Oh, and a Soviet tank.
His content is really cool and provides you with the thrill of exploring abandoned building without worrying about being charged with trespassing, which is always good.
