Ever wanted to test the heights or go for a scenic walk? Now, you can! Portugal has a new bridge opening this month known as the 516 Arouca Bridge.
The name of the bridge is defined by its length of 516 meters and by its location which is near the town of Arouca. The bridge sits 175 meters over the river gorge and it is made out entirely of metal grating. With metal grating, you can see everything under your steps.

The bridge takes about 10 minutes to walk. That’s if you can take in the full scenery all around you.
Besides, the architects describe the bridge as a ‘pure Tibet-style footbridge with no towers and a sagging deck with a more conventional tower supported span with a flat deck’.
Think you have the courage to walk the 516 Arouca? Plan your walk now! And, check out what the Golden Gate Bridge does in the wind.
