What happens when a Rivian R1T, a Dodge Ram TRX, and a Ford Raptor meet on a drag strip in the middle of nowhere? Amazing things. Usually, drag racing is for cars, low to the ground, all gas no brakes speed, just to see who is faster. Trucks are big and beefy and haul stuff and can be a statement piece for some people. Trucks are not usually known for speed, torque yes but not speed. Well, all three of these trucks proved that wrong.

Speed I am speed! That’s probably what the Rivian R1T is thinking sitting on that starting line just waiting to take off and leave the other two in the dust. Once the R1T was towing the GMC Cyclone though, the Ram TRX blew past them and the Raptor. This proves that while electric vehicles are fast and can go from 0 to 60 in record time, the towing capacity is not there yet. Something a truck really needs to be able to do if it wants to compete truly in the truck market. Putting that aside though, watching the trucks race is really cool to watch.
