Lost Cities You’ll Want To Visit When We Can Travel Again

Fancy a getaway that isn’t your back garden?

4. La Ciudad Perdida, Colombia

Though this city is over 1,000 years old, it was only ‘discovered’ in the 1970s.

With a name literally translating to ‘lost city’, you can expect to feel very out of time when visiting. It will be an effort to get there though – you need a licenced guide to help you get there, as it’s 29 miles of hiking through the jungle.

We don’t know much about the city, but experts believe it to have been home to around 8,000 people. The ruins show the existence of temples, buildings and walkways. Surrounded by mountains, you’ll feel as though there is no one else in the world other than you.
