The year 2020 took everyone by surprise for its many tragedies and challenges. The classic comedy that has been on TV for more than 30 years, The Simpsons, gave us a new episode in November that viewers are taking as a prediction of the world ending.
Back in the year 2000, the show predicted Donald Trump as the future president, and we know we are living it. The more current episode released in November 2020, titled ‘Treehouse of Horror XXXI’ shows Homer sitting on his roof, suited up in household armor, gun in hand, drinking a beer while the town below him is on fire. It really isn’t that far off from reality, unfortunately.
This disastrous scene is shown with the date January 20, 2021, across the screen – Inauguration Day. Many are taking this as a warning that we are in for trouble soon. Check out this video on all of The Simpsons predictions that have rung true over the years – buckle up, there are a lot.
Wow, this is crazy! These past predictions coming true definitely make the upcoming one that much more unsettling. What do you think – is the world about to end? Was 2020 the beginning of never-ending chaos, or will we be able to get back to reality? Best of luck to everyone out there, and here’s to hoping 2021 will soon start to feel a lot better than 2020.
