Colleague Threatens to Complain To HR Over Birthday Cake Dispute

What is the world coming to?

The dispute was found in the dark depths of Reddit, yikes.

I can’t say that I’ve ever worked in an office, but I’ve definitely heard my share of stories about nightmare colleagues.

Loud chewing, heavy breathing, colleagues fighting it out over the latest promotion opportunity, or simply, people just not getting on. These all seem to be pretty common complaints in an office setting.

This altercation between two colleagues however, really takes the biscuit. Or cake, as the case may be.

Yep, that’s right. Someone really started some beef with his co-workers because the poor woman didn’t have the time to bake him a birthday cake.

The argument took place over Facebook Messenger, you can have a look at the messages here:

I mean, the audacity, right?

It’s not like the person was asking for a basic Victoria Sponge either, that is a fancy ass cake!

I honestly can’t believe they threatened to contact HR, I mean they really must not have a lot going in their lives if this is the kind of thing they’re getting upset about.

Honestly, for any of you guys that work in an office, or anywhere where you have to deal with co-workers like this, I salute you.

If that is you, you might want to check out this article on dealing with office politics, cake woman might want to do the same.
