The uber-popular animated comedy, Rick and Morty, will soon release its fifth season! Fans all over are super excited to not only get a release date of the newest season, but also a trailer for season 5. The show follows a timid boy, Morty, and his experimental scientist grandfather, Rick, as they get into countless sci-fi antics.

The release date for the new Rick and Morty is June 20th at 11 pm ET/PT on Adult Swim! Hulu describes the series as follows:

Rick and Morty is a show about a sociopathic scientist who drags his unintelligent grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe. Created and executive produced by Dan Harmon (Community, Chanel 101) and Justin Roiland (House of Cosbys).

Check out the trailer for season 5 of Rick and Morty below!

Also, here is the second and newest released trailer.

Wow, this looks great! Fun fact: Justin Roiland voices both Rick and Morty for the show! At Paleyfest in October 2020, writer Scott Marder gave away some pretty fun ideas for where season 5 of the show will take us:

There’s an epic canon in season 5 coming.

All the stuff we’re doing is so awesome.

I’m a huge fan before I even got to be on the show, so to get to write for it, I get to feed my excitement of loving this show before I got to write for it.

So you’ll feel that in the show. Season five, all the stuff we’ve doing is so awesome.

Also, more good news – seasons 6 and 7 are already in process! Dan Harmon revealed that the writing for season 6 was in motion back in May 2020. This leaves a future season 7 that fans are ready to wait for.
