The director who created ‘Requiem for a Dream’.

Aronofsky is famous for films like “A Requiem For a Dream” and “Black Swan” he is also well known for turning the creepiness levels up to well over 10. This new movie “mother!” has a 95% “want to see” rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

It is described on Rotten Tomatoes as,

“A couple’s relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. From filmmaker Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream), mother! stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer in this riveting psychological thriller about love, devotion and sacrifice.”

It is categorized as a drama, horror, and mystery & suspense. It will be released world wide 9/15/2017. In this film we will hope to see some of the magical realism that has kept audiences intrigued like in “Black Swan” and “Pi”. Most of his films have a certain cerebral wit that is hard to grasp with an initial viewing but that doesn’t discredit the genius behind his works.
