The Fast and Furious franchise will introduce fans to the beginning of the end for Dominic Toretto and his family, but what should we expect to see?
The Fast and Furious franchise has been a staple feature of the action genre since the 2001 release of “The Fast and The Furious,” growing into what can only be described as a multi-billion-dollar series of films with its own spin-off with “Hobbs and Shaw”.
The franchise has advanced, starting with Californian street racing and stealing Panasonic VCRs. With our crime-fighting vigilantes, working with various government agencies to save not only their families but the world, even if it means leaving the earth’s atmosphere to do so. The franchise has come a long way.
And despite the film’s wild notions of laws and gravitational rules over the past few years, fans have stuck around to see what happens next.
According to the estimations, many fans are willing to sit through the 2h 21m run time with expectations that the film will make $300 million on its opening weekend.
Even after their trip to space.
But what should we expect from the tenth installment of the series as it nears its supposed end?
So, What Is Left To Come?
During the World premiere of “Fast X” in Rome, Co-producer and star Vin Diesel let loose that producers are looking at ending the franchise in a three-part ending.
This comes as a shock after it had already been announced that the ending was only supposed to contain two parts. Diesel told the interviewer, “And after the studio saw this one, they said, ‘Could you make “Fast X,” the finale, a trilogy?’”
While there has been no official confirmation from Universal, constant from the franchise Michelle Rodriguez added that there are “three acts in any story.”
So, for the franchise to be whole, we would need a third part?
Because God forbid they leave this story with any plot holes, time jumps or oversights.
There has been no official confirmation as of yet, but with the influence of Vin Diesel and the rest of the cast, who have spent the better part of two decades playing these characters, they will stop at nothing to ensure their stories are correctly finished.
While some fans might be happy, the consensus on Twitter is disbelief, with many fans arguing that three parts are unnecessary.
@Renxr1 wrote, “Idk if it’s true but why does fast X need to be in three parts?? Now y’all doing TOO much.”
with another fan, @Kizotez_0829, saying, “then after that, another three titled FAST X Parts 4-6”
And they aren’t wrong.
Perhaps the idea is for the franchise to continue for another two decades. While some might like the idea, what else can they really cover?
The list must be short, as even space will be crossed off!
Introducing New Characters and Welcoming Back The Regulars
With the cast forever expanding, May 19 will introduce multiple new characters to our screens. This includes Jason Mamoa, Brie Larson, Alan Ritchson, and Daniela Melchior.
Plenty of new characters to welcome to the family. Toretto is going to need a much bigger table for his barbeques.
Especially with his newly returned brother, Jakob Toretto(John Cena), and the franchise regulars.
After the “Fast 9” events, the family welcomed Cena. And according to scenes from the trailer, he’s the fun and doting uncle we all wish to have.
But the question is. Will Jason Mamoa’s character Dante Reyes, son of Hernan Reyes, be welcomed by the family, or will his ploy for revenge see him turned away from Dom and the gang?
With the franchise’s history, I’m sure he’ll be sitting at the table’s end, saying grace at the barbeque.
Bringing Back Family
Fans have been speculating about the return of Giselle, played by Gal Gadot. Hoping to reunite Han Lue with the love of his life after her tragic fall from a plane.
And I believe that is exactly what’s going to happen.
The franchise isn’t shy of bringing back characters, whether they’re dead or not.
And after Han Lue himself returned from the dead thanks to Mr. Nobody, I’m sure we will see the same happen again. If not in “Fast X,” then in one of the other two upcoming parts.
But stick around for the post-credit scenes because if you like the possibility of returning cast members, the scene may rock your world!

Saying Goodbye
Dante Reyes is looking for revenge after Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker) and Dominic Toretto were responsible for his father’s death in “Fast Five,” and what could be better than an eye for an eye?
Dante is looking to destroy the crew, killing some of the family, and while many have tried this before, he might manage it.
The second “Fast X” trailer hinted at a character’s death.
And while no one knows who, you should prepare for the worst because at the end of the day. The franchise is ending.
There is nothing to lose anymore.
Want To Go And See It?
You should.
Just take some tissues with you and prepare to cry because no one is safe.
Not in the end.
