The highly anticipated second season to Netflix’s breakout hit was released on Netflix on November 17th.
The Netflix series will take a deeper look at the lives of its most notorious and controversial cast, including the currently incarcerated Joe Exotic and the now-infamous Carole Baskin- who was the victim of an online hate campaign following the show’s debut- and many others.
“Old enemies and frenemies, including Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, Allen Glover, and James Garretson, return for another season of murder, mayhem, and madness,” Netflix has said in a recent statement.
While many people have been confused about what the second season of the series will focus on, Netflix has told viewers to “think again” if they believe they know the whole story.
“With Joe Exotic behind bars and Carole Baskin closing in on ownership of his disreputable zoo, the Emmy-nominated saga continues its twisted course with Tiger King 2 as newfound revelations emerge on the motivations, backstories, and secrets of America’s most notorious big cat owners,”
It’s also believed that the series will focus on many of the subjects which caught viewers’ curiosity in the first season, such as the disappearance of Carole Baskin’s second husband, Don Lewis, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances in 1997.
Numerous conspiracy theories began to circulate in the wake of the first season of Tiger King as a result of the show delving into multiple possibilities surrounding his disappearance, including the possibility that he was the victim of foul play in some way linked to his wife.
The show’s new season will also focus on how Joe Exotic has been doing while in prison after he was convicted of trying to place a hit on Baskin due to their ongoing feud.
The Tiger King is pretty confident that the new season of the series will help to clear his name and “expose the truth” surrounding his alleged crimes, according to his official Twitter account.
Delving into the murder, betrayal, and conspiracy, Tiger King season 2 promises to be just as jaw-dropping as the first season.
Season 2 of Tiger King is on Netflix now.
