It’s 2023, and Bridgerton fans are eagerly waiting for the third season of a romantic drama Netflix series. “Queen Charlotte”: A Bridgerton Story will be a prequel spinoff, which will elevate the story and will make it more interesting.

With the prequel confirmed, we now know that the character of young Queen Charlotte will be played by India Ria Amarteifio. The story will focus on the life of young Charlotte and how she grows up to be the most-loved Queen.

Netflix shared a confirmation in the press mailers that the show might be released in the spring months. And the rumours specify that it might be the month of May 2023 when we get the new season of Queen Charlotte over Netflix. There have been no confirmed release dates released by Netflix so far. But, as fans, we are hoping to hold onto the rumours as our best bet! As predicted after the earlier seasons, it was obvious that Queen Charlotte would be getting her prequel and backstory series. As per the reports, the third season’s shooting commenced in the first half of 2022. 

Fans consider it a love story that will last for ages to come. As the viewers aren’t much familiar with the past of Queen, and many predicted secret connections are yet to be unveiled. Supposedly, this prequel spinoff will shed some light to make the character of Queen Charlotte more enjoyable than ever.

Apart from the Queen, some new faces are also there in the lead and supportive roles. The central plot of the backstory spinoff will focus on how Queen Charlotte rose to power and prominence.
