Netflix really knows how to draw you into real-life stories you never knew you needed to know about. The twisted minds of the characters, the out-of-control acts they get away with, and the jaw-dropping endings keep viewers hungry for more.
Not surprisingly, there’s another new series that is based on real events that have people buzzing again, not long after Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story was released. This one is called The Good Nurse and Eddie Redmayne’s character is anything but good.
Eddie Redmayne plays Charles Cullen, a nurse who is suspected of killing at least 400 people while he was a nurse at several different hospitals but only confessed to 40 killings. He was adding a lethal dose of insulin to patients’ IV bags.
Working for several different hospitals and leaving after patients in his care died under suspicious circumstances, it is scary that he kept working for so long. He was finally caught and arrested after Amy Loughren, played by Jessica Chastain, worked with law enforcement to get him to confess while wearing a wire. No wonder it is so hard for people to trust doctors and nurses.

With his impressive and sickening performance, Redmayne is creating some Oscar buzz for this performance. His commitment to this role may mean another Oscar for him. Still, how did the real Cullen get away with this for so long? This started in the 80s and he finally got arrested in 2003! Needing concrete evidence and confessions is key but how did the police not pursue him more so that some of these people could still be alive today? It’s crazy to think about. Cullen is currently serving 11 life sentences.
Here’s list of what’s to come on Netflix for December, 2022.
