CBS’s original Criminal Minds fans were delighted to see the series make a comeback on Paramount+ this fall. The show’s second season will come by the name of Criminal Minds: Evolution. Even more impressive is that Paramount+ already renewed the show for a second season before Season 1 wrapped up!

According to Paramount+, the series has become one of the streaming service’s top five original series.

Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 Release Date

Paramount+ is making the team unite to work on the second season of this successful series, and updates on production might appear soon. The show is expected to begin this year, and the official release date has yet to be out. 

Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 Cast 

Season 2 should feature all of the prominent cast members from Season 1, including Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Paget Brewster, etc. Several key characters from the OG series were missing from Season 1 of Criminal Minds: Evolution, despite the return of most of the BAU agents. Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) and Special Agent Matt Simmons (Daniel Henney) were noticeably absent in the new series.

Some new faces might appear in season 2 to support the story’s narration. These new faces will be confirmed once production begins. Stay tuned for more updates like this.
