CMA Country Christmas is the production of the Country Music Association. The show began in 2010 and rings annually in the holiday season with a show full of festive classics and one-of-a-kind musical performances. It is filmed in Nashville and airs each holiday season on ABC. The show invites viewers to sit back and enjoy the season in a warm and intimate setting reminiscent of past classic Christmas television specials.
The show is back as the holiday season is upon us, with Carly Pearce being its host. The first episode of this season is scheduled to be released on ABC on Thursday, December 8, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. This will be an hour-long special, and Pearce will be the lone host for the first time.
This season will feature performances by Steven Curtis Chapman, Dan + Shay, Scotty McCreery, Maren Morris, Old Dominion, Pearce, Molly Tuttle, and The War And Treaty. Fans can watch it on ABC and the next day on Hulu and Disney+. This time, it will take you in the holiday spirit with a variety of big-name country music musicians singing traditional Christmas carols with a country twist.
Once again, CMA collaborated with Balsam Hill to adorn the “CMA Country Christmas” stage with their breathtakingly authentic artificial Christmas trees and seasonal decorations.
Last year the show featured nine performances by Carrie Underwood, Lady A, Brett Eldredge, and many others. Pearce and Barrett both gave solo performances of traditional Christmas songs. We hope that this season will bring joy to its viewers.
