That’s what happened to the famous rap group, the Wu-Tang Clan. There was a celebration honoring the rap group after 25 years by renaming the intersection Vanderbilt Avenue and Targee Street into the “Wu-Tang Clan District.” The two original members of the crew, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon, attended the ceremony despite the lousy weather.

Staten Island always served as an inspiration both musically and aesthetically when it came to the identity of the Wu-Tang Clan. The two rappers talked about the shady stories of their neighborhood and how they were able to get out of it.
