4) Music of the Spheres World Tour – Coldplay

The Music of the Spheres World Tour undertaken by iconic British rock band Coldplay is one of the most mesmerizing must-see concerts. Me, myself, and I have tried and failed to get tickets on multiple occasions much to my chagrin. It is their eighth studio tour. This tour is used to promote their ninth and tenth albums respectively, Music of the Spheres (2021) and Moon Music (2024).

The tour began in San José in March 2022. The tour will conclude in September 2025 in Wembley Stadium. 2024’s tour dates finished on the 16th of November in Auckland, New Zealand. It started on the 9th of January 2025 in Abu Dabi, United Arab Emirates. The number of shows over three and a half years adds up to 225. Prices for tickets range from 50 to 175 euros, depending on standing or seated. The concert is split up between four acts, each with a different theme. Act I is called Planets and includes songs like ‘The Scientist’ and ‘Paradise’. As Chris Martin says, the act is about:

knowing there’s a bigger magic out there /in there somewhere and choosing to go and look for it

Act II, called Moons, highlights all struggles as life can be difficult sometimes. It includes songs like ‘Viva La Vida’ and ‘Yellow’. The end of ‘Yellow’ marks the transition to Act III, Stars. It consists of songs like ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ and ‘Something Just Like This’ and is all about loving oneself and spreading love no matter of color, race, or religion. Finally, Act IV is the home run and coincidentally, is called Home! It seems to be about figuring yourself out and knowing that life is beautiful. It has songs like ‘Sparks’, ‘Magic’ and ‘Fix You’. The tour has been hugely successful worldwide, winning awards and selling out stadiums in mere minutes.

This tour is set to be a celebration of the band’s 50th anniversary since its formation in 1975. Opening acts include Avatar, Halestorm, and the Raven Age. Tickets are available from their website for 179 euros.

Since reuniting in 2016, the band has not produced anything that has impressed many and Axl Rose’s voice tends to be quite inconsistent. But Slash and Duff McKagen have teased repeatedly in recent interviews that 2025 will be all about Guns N’ Roses. So maybe more tours in other parts of the world are to be announced! Let’s hope that we will be impressed! They haven’t released a setlist yet but undoubtedly they will perform hits like ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’ and ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’.
