Buckle Up For The New Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer

Journey back to the Frontier.

Nearly a decade after its initial release, Red Dead Redemption still stands as one of the most iconic video games.

And with this newest trailer, fervor for the action-adventure series will certainly be reignited.

Despite the “2” in its title, Red Dead Redemption 2 is not a continuation of the first game’s story. Rather, the sequel is a prequel: while the first tackled the story of John Marston in the West around the year 1911, the second goes further into the past, when the Frontier was even more lawless and deadly.

More specifically, Red Dead Redemption 2 follows outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Dutch Van der Linde gang as they “rob, fight, and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive.”

So while you may not see the return of some of your favorite characters, the sequel-prequel will likely have no shortage of excitement.

Check out the trailer below:

Sadly, the game itself is still a ways away, with the release set for sometime in the Spring of 2018.

But if you can’t wait that long, Rockstar is apparently hiring video game testers.
