An Ecuadorian TV presenter shared a video to his Twitter recently showing a shocking incident in which he was robbed at gunpoint.

Just before Diego Ordinola – a sports presenter for Ecuadorian TV – was set to go live on air, he was approached by an armed robber. Stood outside the Monumental Stadium in Guayaquil, they weren’t expecting this awful scene to occur.

His cameraman managed to capture the whole insane moment.

In the video, you can see the robber approach in broad daylight, and the cameraman hand over his phones whilst threatened at gunpoint. The robber escaped via a waiting motorcycle.

You can hear him shout: “Telephone, give me your telephone.”

Ordinola posted the video to his Twitter, writing: “We can’t even work in peace. This happened at 1pm outside the Monumental stadium. The @Police Ecuador promised to find these criminals.”

Perhaps the most shocking element of this video is that the crime is happening out in the open.
