Open Reel Ensemble describes itself as a group that perform by manipulating reel-to-reel tape recorders. They use direct contact with the tapes to create various sounds and resonances. It is all recorded as they perform, making this a truly live performance art.
The trio has won international acclaim, performing in cities worldwide. They were hired as ISSEY MIYAKE’s musical director for the Paris Fashion Week four times a row!
