Tip of the day: after harrassing people of color don’t announce your street address.
A video of Edward Cagney Mathews harrassing a Black man and yelling racist slurs in Fort Laurel, New Jersey became viral.
Hard to believe? See for yourself how a man in New Jersey couldn’t resist the urge to bother residents in the comfort of their home.
When Mathew tells the police his home address and visits him, he never expected hundreds of protestors to arrive at his house.
Anti-racism protestors surrounded his house, while police officers guarded Mathews’ front door
He was arrested, most likely for his own protection, and apologized for his actions. Yet, most refused to accept a brief apology that meant to address an outburst of racist and insensitive behavior.
One sure hopes he knows sharing his address is not the most brilliant idea. He might not be inside a cell, but it’s clear he is forever branded as a racist.
