Everyone knows that dogs are the most im-paw-sibly loyals companions, and this story is a case in point!
The owner was walking his dog in Brazil when he fell ill and had to be rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.
This loyal little puppy was not initially allowed onto the ambulance and was pacing around anxiously. As the doors closed, she realized it would be leaving.
Persistent to not let her owner go alone, she jumped onto the rear bumper of the ambulance hoping to be taken to the hospital too. Anderson Bahl who was just passing by noticed and captured the touching moment.
‘I was passing in my car when I saw an ambulance stopped on the other side of the road,’, Anderson told The Dodo.
Thankfully, the first responders avoided what could have been a dangerous situation for the precious canine when they realized that she was balanced on their rear bumper and let her in.
‘The love this dog has for her owner is something very special,’ Anderson said. ‘A faithful love.’
Once the ambulance arrived at the hospital, she was also spotted waiting patiently outside the hospital waiting for him to emerge. Very special, indeed.
Maria Lúcia Muniz, a local dog rescuer, lives near the hospital and offered to look after the devoted pooch for the night while her owner recovered, although this turned out to be unnecessary when her owner’s family arrived.
‘It was very emotional,’ Muniz said. ‘But thank God, the owner was only hospitalized for 45 minutes. His family arrived to take him and his dog home,’ she also confirmed.
