There have been people going through extreme lengths to protect themselves from this dastardly virus spreading across the globe — germ keys, using gloves on a 24-hour basis, locking themselves in their house for months now. However, not many come close to the Australian Bubble Man in the small Victorian town of Belgrave, about 46.7 KM from Melbourne. He took to the streets in a giant hamster ball in an effort to spread some joy and protect himself from COVID-19.
In a random act of kindness, this unnamed man wandered around the streets in a bubble worthy of Bubble Boy (2001). He sang and rolled around in his hamster ball donned in Bermuda shorts and a mismatched shirt, singing to the people of Belgrave.
One pedestrian, Janine Rigby, caught the entire encounter on camera. She posted the video on Facebook for people around the world to enjoy also, captioning the video with:
“Only in Belgrave…
The man is singing, I’m the man in the bubble! Thank you to this man for making us smile.
This was a Random Act of Kindness!”
