Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Jetman! A new feature-length documentary unveils the latest advancement in autonomous human flight.
Invented in 1996 by Yves Rossy, Jetman produces technology like no other. In Loft: The Jetman Story, we are shown Yves teaming up with Vince Reffet and Fred Fugen. The team of three face trials and tribulations to achieve the dream of being able to fly.
Would you use a Jetman to be able to fly?
The teaser trailer was released by XDubai, the production company working on the film, alongside Perch Pictures. The landscapes of Norway are prominently featured. Furthermore, this drives home what is made possible by this new technology. Also, we are exposed to the stories behind the conception and creation of the Jetman jetpacks.
The trailer also shows the multiple experiments in how to take off, including jumping from a helicopter. Also, scaffolding on a mountain being built is shown, with one man taking the leap. However, it is not as fun as it seems, with an engine exploding on one person’s jetpack, leading him to have to pull his parachute.
We are excited to see all the danger and excitement that came from testing this invention. This beautifully filmed documentary marks the highs and lows of the journey.
