I don’t know about you but when tuning in to the Winter Olympics, you’re half hoping you see a spectacular crash. But this was a bit too much as Canadian skier Chris Del Bosco experienced a brutal moment as he fell from 30m, suffering a suspected broken pelvis.
Watch the wincing footage as the 35-year-old completely misjudges a takeoff from a jump in the ski cross heats, accidentally launching into a backflip leaving him upside down in the air.
He was effectively three stories up in free fall, desperately kicking his legs in a bid to reset himself but failed to get upright.
Then came the brutal landing as fell hard on his right hip, before skidding for several meters down the hill.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned from these Winter Olympics is that they’re a lot more dangerous than the normal Olympics!
