Watch the wincing footage as an English surfer wipes out in the Nazare waves.

Nazare, on the coast of Portugal, is known for its humongous waves. So it is no wonder why professional surfers from all over the world come to see if they can deal with what is described as ‘the biggest waves in the world’.

Tom Lowe from Cornwall is no stranger to a closeout, in fact, no surfer had more closeouts in 2017 than him!

It doesn’t seem he will change this in 2018 either after he was on the back end of a savage steam-rolling in Nazare that saw him end up with six stitches in his head after his board hit him.

Watch the brutal footage here where he makes one bomb before comes to the crazy wipeout.

Check out this article to see how big the waves really get at Nazare and even more wipeouts!
