On Saturday 11th June, Harry Styles played at Glasgow’s Ibrox Stadium. During the final song, fans were shocked and horrified to see a man fall from the top balcony seating.

At around 10.15 p.m., a fan fell during a concert for the former One Direction member Love on Tour.  It is reported that he fell during the final song of the night, Kiwi.

The police have said that he fell from the top tier Club Deck into the stand below. Over 50,000 fans were attending the show, and many witnessed the moment he fell.

Luckily, the man – who is still yet to be identified – survived the fall and is doing well now. Some rumours suggest the man was taken to hospital where he was briefly put on life support. These rumours have not been confirmed.

What have the police said about the incident?

In response to the shocking moment, a spokesperson for Police Scotland has said:

“Officers were made aware of a man falling from a club deck at a premises on Edmiston Drive, Glasgow at around 10.15pm on Saturday, 11 June, 2022.

“There were no suspicious circumstances and the man was seen to by medical staff.”

Though there has been no official report regarding the man’s current health status, he is believed to be doing well.

How have Harry Styles fans reacted online?

The news about the fall first broke through social media, where people revealed they had seen the man fall on social media. Since the official police announcement, many others have taken to Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram to share their stories of witnessing the fall. Others have simply reacted to the news.

Many parents have lamented their young children witnessing the event, while others have noted their worry about how the man is doing now.

How has Harry Styles’ Love on Tour been received?

Styles’ date at the Glasgow stadium was the first of his European leg of Love on Tour, the new tour celebrating his second album Fine Line and the more recently released Harry’s House.

The tour has been met with rave reviews.

However, since the news of the man’s fall, fans have expressed other grievances online about the tour date. Namely, that the queue to get into the stadium was mishandled.

Fans were left queueing in the rain for hours without much movement, and some of the ticket scanning devices failed to work, slowing the process even more.

However, others took to Twitter to express their great experiences of the tour date.

Styles continues the tour this week in Manchester and plays London at the weekend.

The stadium tour has been a big hit, especially since concert-going was so very different for the past two years.
