Man Bricked Up in His Own House While Sleeping

Read why…

In what has to be a claustrophobe’s worst nightmare, a man was bricked up in his house overnight.

Have you ever opened your front door to find yet another wall? Well, no, neither have we. But that is exactly what happened to an unnamed man in Mainhausen, Germany. He woke up to find that someone had bricked up his front door while he was sleeping.

Surely the realisation that you’re trapped in your own house has got to mess with your head. It’s like something straight out of a horror film.

The estimated damage is 500€ . A hefty price to pay for what may have been a prank. Police officer Ingbert Zacharias has compared the event to the building of the Berlin Wall, which was also erected pretty speedily. Not sure this wall holds the same historical, political significance. But it’s hardly hilarious either.

Let’s hope 2017 isn’t going to be a year of unwanted walls.
