If she wins, she would be the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate ever.
16-year-old Swedish activist Greta Thunberg has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for her work on climate change. The young activist went on a school strike to protest global warming. She eventually staged a protest and spoke before the entire Swedish parliament, and simultaneously captured the attention of worldwide audiences, including her own peer group of younger activists.
If Greta wins, she will officially be the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize ever. Just a year older than her was Malala Yousafzai, who won the prize in 2014 for her work on education reform, centering on the human right for education.
