8. For something a bit more lively, pretend to be a vulcanologist for a day and monitor an active volcano
The Arenal Volcano is Costa Rica’s youngest, and most active volcano. Although it is currently in a resting phase, water vapours and gases can occasionally be seen spewing through from the top. Nevertheless, the Arenal Volcano live stream is also a beautiful insight into a stunning natural landscape, with the background hosting fluffy clouds floating across the sky and branches of dense forest swaying in the breeze.

There are a number of beaches which you can visit with 360-degree virtual reality. Some of the footage is devoid of human inhabitants, such as this relaxing video of Cala Milor Beach in Mallorca, Spain, while others manage to capture the sheer claustrophobia of a trip to the beach, such as this crowded, but anthropologically fascinating VR experience of a walk along Miami Beach in Florida.
