There are many things you can criticize TikTok for, but you’ll never find it slacking when it comes to dupes.

I love a good beauty product, but the price tag is not so much. Influencers are constantly promoting all these stunning products: from Dior’s famous blush to Glossier’s Cloud Paint. The packaging alone is enough for me to want it. Sadly, my bank account starts to cry before I even add it to my basket.

This is where the dupes come in. Some dupes just copy the packaging, but nine times out of 10, the result is pretty similar. Now I feel like I can join in the hype without spending the money. Thanks TikTok!

Why is the Laneige Lip Mask?

The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is the latest craze. It’s irresistibly soft and satiny while still being ultra-hydrating and nourishing for lips. Everyone’s loving it. That is those who can afford it. It retails at a whopping $24! That’s nearly four times the price of other lip balms! But never fear. As always, TikTok is here to save the day. Amazon’s $3 dupe – Carenel’s Berry Lip Sleeping Mask will fulfill all your Laneige needs.

Influencers are claiming that it works just as well as its very pricey alternative, for a fraction of the price! And for $10, you’re getting three lip masks. Who’s going to complain about that?

Laneige’s Lip Mask is said to have a softening balm texture which is enriched with vitamin C and antioxidants. It has an exclusive ‘moisture wrap’ technology which involves hyaluronic acid and minerals. All of this to give you perfectly soft and supple lips. Just what we all need in these cold winter months.

But what about Care:Nel’s version? The packaging is virtually identical – great for displaying on your shelf, but the real question is does it work? The answer by and large, is yes! According to ‘skinskool’ the first ingredient is the same in both products. It’s called Diisotearyl malate and is used in many lip products. It’s basically the ingredient that makes it so moisturizing, so that’s a massive plus. On the other hand, it’s missing the vitamin C and hyaluronic acid.

Experience With Laneige Lip Mask Dupe

This doesn’t really seem to affect people’s experiences of the dupe, with many claiming that they can’t tell the difference between the two. In fact, user @Shop Klean Skin even claims the dupe is cruelty-free (and the original isn’t!).

And it doesn’t even end with Care:Nel’s dupe. There are tons of cost-effective alternatives out there that will work as Laneige lip mask dupes. If you want soft, supple lips, listen up!

Drugstore alternatives are not hard to find. From the classic e.l.f Squeeze Me Lip Balm, to Revolution Beauty Lip Sleeping Mask, to Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Sleeping Lip Mask – there’s a dupe out there waiting for you.

We can go cheaper still. You can’t go wrong with Vaseline’s Rosy Lip Therapy, and it’s $2 for a pot that will last so long you’ll lose it before you finish it. And, of course, you can always make a lip scrub at home with just sugar and honey. That will keep your lips chap-free and silky smooth!

This DIY lip scrub only needs 3 ingredients to exfoliate and moisturize your lips: sugar, honey, coconut oil #sustainableliving #nontoxicbeauty #lipscrub #diyskincare

All these will give you the soft, kissable lips we all want through the winter months at a fraction of Laneige’s price. We can all get the smooth lips we want without breaking the bank.
