With ‘The Simpsons’ being one of the most popular animated TV shows of all time, there is no doubt that hordes of fans will jump at the chance to watch it all over again, and get paid!
The online casino ‘PlatinCasino.co.uk’ is offering one lucky applicant the opportunity to watch every episode of ‘The Simpsons’ for a total payment of £5000 ($6,819). The UK-based company is looking for a ‘Simpsons Series Analyst’ to record key events from each episode of the hit TV show, as they aim to use these findings to predict the future. It is open to applicants from all countries. The chosen applicant will be free to watch the animated sitcom from the comfort of their own home, on their TV or laptop.
The purpose of this investment is to analyse whether events that occurred in ‘The Simpsons’ might occur in real life, in the future. As the show is infamous for its almost uncanny ability to ‘predict’ future events, such as Donald Trump becoming the President of America or even the coronavirus pandemic, this might not be a fruitless venture. PlatinCasino acknowledged this, and stated on the site,
‘So, after a hard couple of years, we at PlatinCasino.co.uk are intrigued to see what 2022 will hold…’
As the total earnings for the position is £5000 ($6,819), that means that each episode is worth approximately £6.80 ($9.28), and therefore it would be £17 ($23.19) per hour. PlatinCasino is also granting an additional £75 ($102.34) to the chosen applicant to account for the extra costs – such as the Disney Plus subscription that is required to watch the series. The £75 will also cover necessary WiFi costs. The company will also send a weekly box of Lard Lad Donuts, for the applicant to snack on while they work.
The position lasts for a duration of eight 35-hour weeks. The candidate will be expected to watch all 33 seasons of ‘The Simpsons’, as well as the spinoff movie. As there are more than 700 episodes of the show, the chosen candidate must watch over 280 hours in total. They are required to make notes on key events so that PlatinCasino’s prediction experts can compile the information and determine the likelihood of each event happening in the future.
The sheer amount of future predictions that ‘The Simpsons’ has made is shocking, and while some may be attributed to coincidence or luck, there is no series as well-known as ‘The Simpsons’ for accurate, and even detailed predictions of important events surrounding politics, celebrities, the environment and even science.
