We all know how Tinder works; swipe right when you see something you like, swipe left when you’re wildly turned off or disinterested. The latter confirms that you and that person will never be in contact, on the app at least.
But now with Tinder’s ability to link your account to your other social media profiles, people have the opportunity to slide into your DM’s and stalk your profile. This has become increasingly present among Instagram inboxes, being termed a wonderfully bad twist of the tongue Tindstagramming, according to a Sick Chirpse article.
i connected my instagram to my tinder account n apparently guys in chicago think that means “slide in my DMs if we don’t match”

So, watch out. You may think connecting your Instagram to your Tinder is a good way to show off your travel photos and yoga poses to potential dates. But you may also be opening the door to followers of the unwanted variety.
