Free tattoos AND beer?!?

In a world where everything is now a remake and there’s nothing new coming out, you gotta do everything you can to make your business stand out, even if it means going to the most absolute extreme.

Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden in Austin, Texas came up with a pretty innovative way to make their typical “meats and beers” restaurant attract all types of people, especially tattoo lovers.

Banger’s paired up with one of the local tattoo parlors, Platinum Ink, to offer free tattoos to their customers. The offer is listed on the restaurant’s menu for anyone that loves Banger’s that much:

“From a classic bicep tat to the timeless tramp stamp, if you’re ready to get inked, then we are ready to foot the bill. We have partnered with Platinum Ink, our friendly tattoo neighborhood shop, to offer free tattoos to our patrons. Ask your server for details.”

Were you waiting for the catch? Well, here it is. You can only get the Banger’s logo tattooed on you, not a tattoo of your own choice. Now, the tattoo’s not very big to begin with and the logo is pretty decent, definitely way more creative than a lot of logos out there today. This one doesn’t hurt your eyes as much to look at.

So it’s easy to see how this idea caught on so fast. According to Food & Wine, Platinum Ink has already tattooed over a couple thousand people. This is the best way I’ve ever seen to make your restaurant noticed. Who doesn’t want a free tattoo of a pint glass sausage boot? Bet you can’t come up with a better tattoo idea than that anyway so there you go.
