Netflix executive Ori Marmur discussed in an interview with Variety (News Publication) an upcoming science fiction movie created by Zack Snyder and revealed some exciting updates and news about the same.

Marmur mentions, “Zack came in with so much passion and said this is a firl that he’s had in mind for decades. As you know, he’s spent so much time working on other people’s IPs at other studios. We worked with him on Army of the Dead and did things others couldn’t do. We made a film and then a prequel and launched a live experience. With Rebel Moon, he wanted to push the envelope again. When we saw how big the world he created was, we thought it would better serve as two pieces versus one film. It’s the kind of story that can continue to grow. He thinks of it as his take on making something like Star Wars.”

Part one of the Rebel Moon will hit Netflix in the fall of 2023, and the dates are also confirmed with us, i.e., December 22, 2023, following the dates for the second part will be announced later.

Netflix has also released the movie’s trailer and mentioned it in its upcoming films. In the trailer video, you can glimpse Zack Snyder’s next masterpiece.

Both Netflix and Zack have high hopes for Rebel Moon. Snyder believes this could be the next start of a new cinematic universe with Rebel Moon.

The film shows how a group of renegades rights with a large force of bad guys. As per Snyder, the story involves the leading character looking for troops to help her protect her village from an army trying to steal food from there.

The cast for the film includes Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy), Michael Huissman (Game of Thrones), Ed Skrein (Deadpool), and Jena Malone (The Hunger Games), among others.
