Created by Charlie Sanders and Jordan Peele, Weird City follows the residents of Weird, in a futuristic metropolis built on a very straight forward foundation: a line of separation between the haves and have nots. The series premieres Wednesday, February 13th on YouTube

Weird City is a comedy sci-fi series that pokes fun at where society may be heading. LeVar Burton, who plays scientist Dr Negari, is the only recurring character in the series.

Each episode will see Dr. Negari create a new invention that will improve people’s health, love life, sex life, and even their experience of transport.

Ed O’Neill, Dylan O’Brien, Michael Cera, Awkwafina, Laverne Cox, Rosario Dawson, Yvette Nicole Brown, Sara Gilbert, all star in the YouTube series.

Each episode will explore issues that pertain to present-day life in Weird — stories that can only be told through the prism of sci-fi and comedy.  There are six episodes and each episode last no longer than thirty minutes.

Overall, Weird City makes good on the promise of its title. It’s very much “out there” and worth an examination.
