WATCH: Trailer For Sci-Fi Action Film “Upgrade” Is Gory (And Hilarious)

(No, that’s not Tom Hardy).

If you’re searching for the next sci-fi action flick to look forward to, “Upgrade” may be the film for you.

“Upgrade” comes from the mind of Leigh Whannell, whose previous credits include “Saw” and “Insidious,” so be ready for some violence and gore.

But before giving anything else away, check out the Red Band trailer below:

While the premise of a computer chip giving an ordinary man extraordinary abilities isn’t exactly groundbreaking, “Upgrade” seems to offer an interesting take on the idea, especially with it’s humorous edge.

Even so, the trailer does give away a bit too much in terms of plot (but then again, it could be too early to know definitively).

“Upgrade” stars Logan Marshall-Green, who has often been mistaken for Tom Hardy (the resemblance is hard to deny). His previous credits include “Prometheus,” “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” and the short-lived Cinemax series “Quarry. “The film opens in theaters June 1st.

Now, if you clicked on this article expecting Tom Hardy, I’ll give you some Hardy-related news: the English actor is set to take on the role of gangster Al Capone for his next film.
