Jordan Elsass from the Superman & Lois series will not return for the upcoming third season of the CW’s DC series. So, the role of Jonathan Kent will be passed on to a new cast member. The decision was made after Jordan Elsass did not report back to work in Vancouver, where Superman & Lois is filmed.
“Jordan Elsass has notified the Studio that he will not be returning to Superman & Lois for season three due to personal reasons. The role of Jonathan Kent will be recast,” the series producer Warner Bros. TV said on Tuesday night.
However, there have been no comments from Elsass or his team regarding this news. According to sources, Elsass has been suffering from some personal issues, and some of those issues might be related to his mental health. A few conflicting information was also found on whether he left or was let go.
Elsass’ Covid vaccination status is also unknown. He supposedly used an alternative and even questioned the effectiveness of the vaccines in his story instead. Canada’s Policy does not allow unvaccinated people to enter the country. The tennis superstar Novak Djokovic¹ was denied entry as he refused to take a Covid vaccine. In Elsass’ case, that wasn’t required because he did not even attempt to return to the set in Canada.
