Rick And Morty Movie Hinted At

It’s still going strong.

Justin Roiland, co-creator of cartoon ‘Rick and Morty’, hints at a possible feature film of the popular series.

Justin Roiland, co-creator of popular adult cartoon ‘Rick and Morty’, has mentioned his enthusiasm for a possible feature film based on the show. In an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, a fan asked “Will we get a feature length Rick and Morty film ever? A rated R film that’s totally bananas?” to which Roiland replied: “I would love to do that, yeah. Hmm. Hmmmmmm.”

Turns out there’s nothing more excitable than the ‘Rick and Morty’ fandom who jumped on this comment like it was…actually proper news. One fan called for “Six seasons and a film. And another four seasons!” This is a reference to Dan Harmon’s (the other co-creator of ‘Rick and Morty’) show ‘Community’ which was saved by loyal fans who started the hashtag #sixseasonsandamovie. Only difference is, ‘Rick and Morty’ is not in danger of being cancelled. In fact, Adult Swim has commissioned Harmon and Roiland to make seventy new episodes to form season four.

So who knows? It is possible that a movie might be made, just to capitalise on the show’s apparent popularity. Then again, all we’ve heard so far is that one of the co-creators would like to make one. Not much to go on but still, watch this space.

If you’re waiting on that movie, check out this article on a ‘Rick and Morty’ themed bar. At least it’ll give you something to do in the meantime!
