‘Nyad’ Release Date, Cast, Plot & More

Nyad is an incredible and compelling upcoming film inspired by the true story of 64-year-old Diana Nyad. The film is the story of Diana Nyad, how he became the first to complete the “Everest of swims” by completing a swim of 110 miles in open water between Cuba and Florida, and that too without a shark cage. 

The film Nyad stars Annette Bening in the lead role and will be launched on Netflix later this year. 

The biographical movie is a digital display of Nyad’s book Find A Way. Directed by filmmaker Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and athlete film director Jimmy Chin the film features impressive visuals and graphics that will surely give you goosebumps. 

Nyad Official Release Date

Ann Biderman and Julia Coz write the screenplay for the film. The film’s official release date is yet to not disclosed, but we can expect it in late 2023 as the production for the film has just started.

Nyad Film Cast Details

Annette Bening will play the lead role of swimmer Diana Nyad. Academy-winning actress Jodie Foster is also in the central part, i.e., Diana’s longtime coach. Bonnie Stoll is also in the film as Diana’s close friend. 

Welsh actor Rhys Ifans is also known for his roles in the Harry Potter films, and the House of The Dragon, plays the role of Diana’s chief navigator John Bartlett.
