Netflix’s Mafia Documentary Just Got a New Trailer

Hope I don’t get whacked.

The latest trailer for this mafia-themed docuseries shows off the history of organized crime in NYC.

This three-part series titled, Fear City: New York vs Mafia, is the latest in Netflix’s continued interest in thrilling documentaries, this time focused on the tantalizing history of New York’s  ‘Five Families’.

Fear City comes from the producers of Don’t F**k With Cats , yet another extremely popular Netflix documentary series. But this new Mafia focused program shines a light on the biggest and most powerful crime families of the 70’s and 80’s.

Families like Bonanno, Colombo, Gambino, Genovese and Luccese were the kings of organized crime, with a unrelenting grip on New York City during their reign. The show details the history of these mafiosos while also displaying the investigation by law enforcement which eventually took them down.

From Netflix

Through interviews with cops, feds, ex-mafia and others, Fear City paints a vast picture of the extent organized crime reached during it’s height. Fans have noted that:

“Good timing as everyone just finished binging The Sopranos in lockdown.”

I couldn’t agree more. If you haven’t watched The Sopranos, I recommend doing that first because it’s literally the best piece of television ever made. Once you’ve gotten that out of the way you can dive into this documentary all you want. And if you’re a fan of other Netflix documentaries, you could consider buying this house from The Staircase which is now on sale.
