Sabrina The Teenage Witch was an iconic show, so the announcement of a reboot by Netflix is really exciting!
Netflix confirmed the reboot of the show back in September 2017, which will be called ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.’ However, the new series will be a lot darker than the original and focuses more on the occult and witchcraft.
Whilst Sabrina’s character has already been cast and will be played by Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka, the question that is on everyone’s lips was what about our beloved Salem The cat? Aguirre-Sacasa, the showrunner of Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” decided to dispense with the chatty cat altogether and stick with his original instinct. He said that it will ruin the horror tone of the series if Salem talks.
