Relationships that begin on reality television may be challenging. This was the scenario with Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson, who discussed getting divorced after meeting and falling in love on the Netflix reality series “Love Is Blind.”

The couple first met during Season 2 of the show, which features interactions between singles and only allows in-person meetings if they have decided to get married. Because Nick and Danielle decided to get married after episode 1 makes it memorable, and the rest of the season focused on their rough path to the alter.

They were one of the two couples that followed through the wedding on the show, but TMZ announced in August 2022 that Danielle had filed for divorce in Cook County Court in Illinois. However, many reality television viewers were left wondering why they quit. The move officially ended their relationship.

Unfortunately, Nick and Danielle have split up. They did tie the knot in June 2021 after Love is Blind season 2, but their wedding lasted just over a year before they got divorced. It’s even more disappointing to hear that the couple had grand plans to reschedule their wedding so that Danielle could get a proper bachelor party and they could handle things more conventionally. The pair mentioned their desire to become parents in an Us Weekly interview published only a few weeks ago.

Nick further stated to Us Weekly that their divorce was not caused by a “catastrophic event” but rather by their failure to give one other what they required. According to reports, the two are no longer speaking after trying to take a dig at one another on social media.

If you want to watch “Love is Blind,” it is available on Netflix.
