The sky is the limit for Jordan Peele as the director announces a new horror movie.

The popular horror movie director Jordan Peele recently released the first poster for his new feature film ‘Nope’.  The cryptic title matches an equally cryptic image as an ominous dark cloud takes central stage in the picture.

‘Nope’ will feature actor Daniel Kaluyya, a previous collaborator with Peele, who starred in his 2017 hit ‘Get Out’.  It will also spotlight Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun in leading roles.

The poster shows a trail of colorful bunting which connects to the dark cloud and flies above a small, brightly lit village.  The scene appears to take place in a lonely mountainous region, with grass and hills surrounding the small town.

This combination of color and darkness in the poster may hint at Peele’s return to the horror-comedy genre.  His most recent movie, ‘US’ blends both humor and terror in a compelling mix that the director is becoming famed for.

The whimsical title of the movie ‘Nope’ also hints at a lighthearted take on the horror genre. Along with the comedic angle, Peele will likely continue to captivate audiences with terrifying imagery and his trademark social commentary.

‘Nope’ will be released in theaters on July 22, 2022.
