The Irish-language film ‘The Quiet Girl’ has just scored a nomination for Best International Feature Film at the 95th Academy Awards. The nomination makes it the first Irish movie to be nominated in this category’s history.
The drama film The Quiet Girl is written and directed by Colm Bairead that shows the story of Foster by Claire Keegan. The film follows the story of a nine-year-old girl from rural Ireland in 1981. She is sent away from her dysfunctional family to live with her mother’s cousin and her husband in the summer season.
The cast of the film includes Carrie Crowley, Andrew Bennett, Catherine Clinch, Michael Patric, and Kate Nic Chonaonaigh. And after its nomination for Oscar, viewers are looking around to stream it online. But the question is whether it is streaming on Netflix or not.

Unfortunately, the film is not available to stream on Netflix right now. However, it could be possible that Netflix could acquire digital rights for streaming it on their platform. The movie was available at selected California and Los Angeles theaters starting December 16, 2022. Now the film is no longer available to watch at the theater. And this might make you feel worse because the movie is unavailable to stream anywhere at the moment.
However, it is expected that the film may go live for streaming at Hulu. While Super LTD is the film’s distributor and is a subsidiary of Neon, Neon has an output deal with Hulu.
