It’s almost the most wonderful time of the year, and nothing can give that merry feeling quite like curling up and watching some Christmas movies! Here’s the lowdown on all the Christmas films that have been added to Netflix to get you in the festive spirit!

Father Christmas is Back (2021)

This comedy Christmas film stars Elizabeth Hurley, Kelsey Grammer and John Cleese. Four sisters who have a rocky relationship get reunited with their long-lost father just in time for Christmas. Despite the big cast names, it seems as though this movie didn’t do it for the critics or IMDb.

The Princess Switch is now a trilogy, with Vanessa Hudgens returning to play three roles in the films third instalment. A mix of drama, comedy and a hint of romance, this is one the whole family can enjoy.

This is a Dutch film (an English dub option is available) that follows a boy discovering that his grandfather is Santa Clause. When Santa Clause is in trouble, it takes some convincing to persuade the boy to help -he isn’t a hige fan of Christmas.

This romance film follows a marketing executive who gets stuck at the airport due to a snowstorm just before she can land a big project.

This is an animated family Christmas movie, and will undoubtedly be a hit among younger viewers. As Netflix has a deal with Elf on the Shelf, their first feature film came out on November 1st.

Unaccompanied Minors (2006)

This action- comedy Christmas movie was directed by Paul Feig. It follows a group of unaccompanied minors (go figure) who get snowed in at an airport and, naturally, shenanigans ensue.

This classic Christmas film made a return to Netflix on November 16th.

A Christmas Star (2015)

This Christmas movie was released on Netflix at the start of the month. The cast has some big names including Liam Neeson, Kylie Minogue, Pierce Brosnan and many more. It is the story of a young girl who has the ability to stop people from fighting.

Single All The Way (2021)

Michael Urie (who has appeared on Ugly Betty) plays the role of Peter, who is chronically single. In order to keep his family’s inevitable judgement at bay, Peter convinces his best friend to pretend they’re in a relationship. Also, Jennifer Coolidge makes a cameo, as if you need another reason to want to watch this movie.

A Castle for Christmas (2021)

Brooke Shields plays the role of an author who is attempting to purchase a Scottish castle from an aristocrat who is hesitant to do so. However, once the snow starts falling and the bells start ringing. they may just see eye to eye in time for Christmas.
